Man, I remember watching the first few episodes for the first time...they did it really well, I mean I felt like I had a huge high school crush on Max too basically. ETA is that gag reel you linked on youtube?? It doesn't sound familiar to me __________________

Even the classroom scene with the hand touch was pretty explosive for a teenage soap. The whole episode tested the limits. Now you could probably could get away with worse. But back then, I remember watching Sexual Healing shortly after starting watching at Blood Brothers. And being stunned by how far they went... And it was truly when I knew I was shipping Max and Liz!
Which is why I say it might be good that we never actually got the actual love scene where Max and Liz sleep together because I am not sure it could have matched expectations. And even though the other couples slept together, none really got as passionate as a episode. Max and Liz truly were passionate with each other. They let go their "repressed/conservative outer exterior" when they were with each other.... Which made the tough and brutal times all the more painful. If only Maria hadn't interrupted. So much may have been pre-empted LOL. The kitchen scene. Wow. How completely they were leading each other until poof! Poor the strawberry supply that day. And Independence Day got me into shipping Maria and Michael I wasn't already there already with both couples. Roswell was a rare show where it kept to it's couples (except for maybe Isabel or Kyle dates) but the two core couples. They threw tremendous angst at them, but never tried to mix and match or go somewhere with any intention of their other couplings working... Thanks for the clips of the classroom scene. Loved it! Loved how shocked Alex and Maria were... __________________
