Next to Sexual Healing, that scene was pretty explicit for the early 2000's. So sexy. And showed that Max and Liz were getting back to normal with each other. And playing with each other....

Nah it showed they were getting closer to each other again. Feeling comfortable. It was from Crash. And therefore time had gone down. And it made sense that they were starting to become comfortable again with each other.
And then they reved right up again in Four Aliens and a Baby where the couldn't keep their hands off each other. Loved their bed action especially as Diane called and they were trying to talk on the phone. And really this is Max and Liz. They don't know the meaning of slow. They always reved from zero to a hundred miles a hour in a span of a minute. So it made sense that as they got more comfortable with the aftermath of Vermont, that they would go back to their old ways especially when they were passionate with each other. Heck they got engaged and married without even barely dating. __________________

True. Sexual Healing was more passionate, erotic and sexy. The footsie scene was very suggestive and fun. Very tame by today's standards. But still not something you would typically see back then. And for Max and Liz it was showing how comfortable they were starting to get again with each other.
Now Sexual Healing which was even early was pretty passionate. Given they barely together. They were steps forward, and steps back. And then suddenly they were all over each other. The kitchen scene. WOW. And apartment scene. So the fact that they were starting to get back there after Vermont is not that surprising given how not typical Max and Liz's relationship really was... And how they could never be slow for long! __________________
