IMO you could clearly get a clue about how much he did know her and how much he liked every small thing about her and her personality.
in the smile i always feel that he was thinking "i knew it" he got 10 years to cherish every small thing about her, all those years staring at her.

Ya, I think I remember hearing that in the Season 1 DVD extra features. The pictures that they used for them in the original books is so not Max and Liz to me maybe because I've never read the books but I think it's because they are absolutely perfect for the role. I heard Heath Ledger tried out for the role of Max too.

i really can't picture them like that. Shiri is not completely different but Max as a blond guy is impossible.
I've read the books but i swear you really forget it. in your mind all you can see is Jason.
the couple and the characters are pretty the same. i can totally picture Jason and Shiri into those scenes and it was like seeing some extras from the television series or the same scenes but with another interpretation and more special effects.

anyway Melinda described them like that just because the editor gave her those models used for the covers but she liked Jason and Shiri better especially Jason who could completely *be* Max. He was the perfect Max.

Jason Behr is definitely the perfect Max. I can't even imagine anyone else in this role. EVER!

Right now, I'm up to 1x04. I'm doing it so it's like 6 moments per episode so it's going to be really great! I'm so excited So far, I'm like omgosh I can't vote for any episodes We'll see! This one will be just Season 1. Hopefully, there won't be so much problems w/ ties and such. Maybe in the beginning if it's really tight it could be which ever one gets more than 1 vote...but that's only if there is a tie. It will be much easier when there is less episode as it gets down to the wire.

We know that Max was in love w/ her and I think Liz also had a crush on him too b\c when Maria told Liz "Max Evans is staring at you again" she said "Max Evans, this *points to self* No, un uh..it's not..."...like she felt that a guy like Max could never like a girl like her. Man, it's so cute actually that they both had this thing for each other and it didn't get mentioned until crazy circumstances made it all come out.

One hundred percent right. Maria had noticed that Max was staring at Liz a lot and Liz didn't believe that a guy like Max (so someone that in her mind, was handsome and maybe out of her reach), would notice her. But Maria had seen it and she was trying to show her the truth. Max really loved her.

two people who liked each other and felt attracted but they needed something that could join them even more. the chance to be together
the first moment was when Max saw her when he was just a little boy and she innocently smiled a bit. then the pilot was the moment that gave them the possibility to finally be together.
if it wasn't the shoot then it would have been another thing. sooner or later they were meant to be together.

not because i don't like their scenes. the contrary i believe that the scene they had was amazing. i love how she tried to comfort him and they put their "problem" apart because Michael needed Max.
But the episode was about Michael mostly and we don't have so many dreamer scenes so i guess that it's my least fav Dreamer episode compared to other.
