The Witcher has a huge fandom that existed before Netflix ever smelt its way so they're going to be upset if the adaptation messes up this wildly. But I'm surprised too by the amount of people who cared enough to sign!

even though the Witcher already had a big fanbase due to the popularity of the books and games, but prior to the series the franchise was mainly only known to book and gaming fans. It wasn't until the release of the Netflix series that the popularity of the franchise really blew up, because the show brought the Witcher franchise to the attention of the much wider mainstream audience who had never read the books or played the games before, myself included, I watched the show first then read the books. Although many people who were fans of the books or games before the show tend to dislike the series since they deviated to far away from the source material, but many still cared enough to watch it and we all know that most people watch the show for Henry, and would rather want to see Henry continue being Geralt than have him replaced with any other actor.

That does make a lot of sense.

even as a stand-alone fantasy show, some of the writing was questionable. in season 1 the timeline was confusing. in season 2, introducing a character and then kill him off. some of the lines, wtf? "a big tool" when talking about knowledge. unnecessary and just no. trying to put too much in 8 episodes. character development going way too quickly.
we expect adaptation to deviate from the source but i think perhaps it went too far and it disrespects it. to me, who only saw Netlfix series and know a bit about the games prior, the show was still enjoyable despite the flaws. but yes with Henry off the project, season 4 will be pointless. Henry has always been so passionate and dedicated to his role. for him to abandon ship is a sign that we should too. __________________
