How to watch the new sci-fi series ‘Upload’ on Amazon Prime Video

Upload, created by Greg Daniels who is known for his work on The Office, premiered today, Friday, May 1 exclusively on Amazon’s Prime Video. This science fiction satire series takes place in the year 2033, where humans are now capable of “uploading” themselves into their preferred afterlife. The show follows Nathan Brown (Robbie Amell) who meets an untimely death, and is uploaded into Nora’s (Andy Allo) world, who is one of the six moderators for the virtual hotels the newly deceased are uploaded into. Nora is alive in the real world as she manages the virtual lives of others--while Nathan only lives on virtually in his uploaded afterlife. Nathan soon learns his afterlife isn’t perfect – as users have to spend money on in-app transactions in order to upgrade their life. In the meantime, while he’s permanently stuck with the life he now has, him and Nora begin to spend time together. The comedy series also confronts issues like income inequality and unequal distribution of resources.
