I've seen people describe this episode as a set-up episode (like a pilot episode) and I do agree with that. I'ts super interesting to reset the board in a manner and see where the pieces will fall.

I think maybe to give her motivation to find her own dragon (story-wise) but character-wise it does seem a bit odd. I don't think Daemon would care about it.

The scene of Daemon & Laena on the roof, I felt so bad for both of them.
