Yes indeed. I found out that my computer won't play The Sims 2 and I'd have to get all these updates and buy stuff if I wanted to. I've been looking forward to Sims 2 for almost a year.

I know what you mean. It's insane considering how outdated PC's get so quickly. It wouldn't be bad if they were cheap, but hundreds and thousands of dollars every year is nuts.

Speaking about PC systems, being outdated....

Cornell has free Napster for all it's students this year and I can't use the program because it only works on XP/2000 and I'm running 98 on my laptop!!

Cornell is trying to give some of those pricey tuition bucks back huh? Sucks that you can't use it though. No dice on the lab puters either?

I never used Napster. I'm satisfied with WinMX that Cas suggested to me some months ago.

Apparently you can use on up to three computers, so I have to choose wisely. My laptop (after I give it an upgrade), my home PC and one another one...

This year it's a free year--next year they may charge for the service, should you choose to have it. Our pilot program pales in comparison to Duke, who's given all incoming freshman iPods and a year's subscription to itunes. Well, I guess our school atleast has extended the program to the whole student community....

Don't know how the new Napster is, but I'll let you know when I try it out.

Wow, Duke's sounding like it's trying to cater to it's freshman. I wonder how the upper classmen feel about that.

Here at Lehigh we don't get any perks, and the tuition is insane

So where is everyone going to buy their boxed set from? I think amazon.com has the cheapest listed price, but Target, BestBuy or Walmart might have an even lower price...

I won't be able to watch my boxed set til sometime in November I'm so backlogged with work...but I'd love to have it in my hands nonetheless!

Well Circuit City has it cheaper than Best Buy here, by about five bucks, so I'll probably nab it there. Unless WalMart or Sam's does better than that.

I have so many expenses coming up in the next few weeks that I'm willing to shop around a bit to get a good deal
