I dont drive faster then 12miles out of town on normal streets over the limit because it's too expensively when the police is in your back. I drive only at motorways faster then 12 miles when I'm in a 72 zone. Normally I drive between 78 and 111 on it. And I using my Seatbelt everytime. But I know some where dont do this. You can talk to them what you want, they dont hear.

I got my fines because of speeding with 7 and 17 over the limit at the Motorway.

Driving on German motorways is save because you have to pass other cars only left and after it you have to drive back to the right lane.
I was shocked in LA on the Freeway as a Truck passed my taxi (where drove although 65mph) on the right lane.

Shannon: And this is good so. When you are a save driver you can go sometimes over the limit, no problem. But you may not be careless or overrate your self and bring other people in danger. During my time by the army 2 years ago our unit lost 5 comrades because of terrible car accidents.

Well I have a habit of NOT wearing my seatbelt sometimes, but it was ironic because the night that I got the ticket, I had it on the entire way down to Baltimore and I only had taken it off when we got to the airport. I guess I had it coming

As for passing, most of the highways around here are only two lanes, so passing on the left and then getting back in the right lane is usually the norm. But down in Philly, on the Expressway, at certain places there are four lanes. Makes it very tricky sometimes.

Today my speedometer got brocken. So I drove the whole day without knowing how fast I'm exactly driving. But fortunately I know approximate with which RPM in the respective gears what speed I have.

By the way, do you have an automatic or manual gear shift?

To go back on-topic, during I wrote this I had to think about the episode with the driving lessons as Carmen hit April.

I actually have a manual. I learned on one and all my cars since I tend to prefer it. Makes me feel like I have more control

And oh yeah, wasn't April a nutcase during that episode? Stalking poor Carmen

Yeah absolute! Hmm, But I would really not stalking someone where nearly would have killed me. Could this be a coincidence that after the crash April alien signs begans?

Yeah manual, good choice! I can never introduce myself to drive an automatic. I think it's boring. If you have a manual you can even decide if you want to shift gears by 3000, 5000 or often like me by 7000rpm and of course you have more control about your car.

Nah, April was always weirder than weird. Leave it to her to worship her almost accidental killer

As for the manual, I tend to wind out the gears too. I also have a naughty little habit of dragging cars off the stop line at redlights sometimes

Oh no, I don't actually go through the red lights. I anticipate when they're going to change to green, and then I just accelerate really quickly.

The funny thing is, most of the time it's with my truck

Oh yeah I do the same thing. But after a quick start I have often compassion with the tyres and the transmission.

If you drive a diesel I'm not surprised, because they have in lower revs torque without end.

Well right now I wish it was Diesel, the gas prices for that are cheaper than for unleaded. But nope, since it's just a little small pickup it's not diesel

You can be so lucky that you live in America. Dont talk about, that our gas is expensive. I pay 4,68€ (6,74$) for the gallon 'plus' here at the station.

We pay about AUD$1 per litre. (USD$0.73c for 0.26 US gallon. So I guess that's, like, USD$3 for a gallon. Or 2.50 euro. I don't know, my conversion sucks. )

right now in Atl, GA ..its about $2.00 a gallon. It went down to like $1.75 but it just recently went back up.

I remember when I first moved to GA in 1996 it was at 69 cents a gallon!
