Yeah I would have prefered it like that Cordy wanted to go to L.A. to become an actress and decided to leave Sunnydale. But Joss the master of pain wanted it the way by letting Xander hurting Cordy with Willow

It was the worst thing to ever happen in the show, in my opinion. I hated it even more than anything in the later seasons.

Cordelia's love for him is confirmed here. What she says in the first GIF is probably the sweetest thing she'd ever said at that point.
