Now that you've put that out there, in retrospect, it indisputably was considering Buffy's revelation from that same dream that she, in fact, DID NOT fear being left alone as she assumed she did but in fact realized it was what she needed, that it would bring her freedom and utter peace. Quote:

Is that supposed to be Cordy's journey in images?
Not all of them are making sense to me. What are the donuts, the fangs and out-of-his-mind Angel in Birthday!verse finger writing on the wall supposed to be representing? I can see how the bloody hands could represent her possession and I quite like the symbolism. __________________

Like, I'm guessing the doughnuts are there because they were a Fang Gang staple at AI. The shots of LA, crown, makeup all invoke a felling of 'Cordy' etc. I admit I often do not understand certain image choices either but I like this one. __________________

Ah. I'm not on Tumblr much, I just can't get that into it. Interesting concept though.
I love me some Angel tat. I kinda wish we'd gotten its story even though it's insignificant. __________________

According to my Google findings, it's a combination of both adapted and original.
The creature appears to be a winged Demi-Lion which is depicted in the Book of Kells or at least is a slight variation, a Latin text of the Gospel and other religious material said to have been created by Irish Monks and contains Celtic among at least 4 distinct visible hands. It was kept from the ninth century until 1541 in the Irish Midlands and was considered a sacred work of art. That the Demi-Lion was designed in the tattoo to carry Angel's initial seems to be original. It's established that it was Angelus who had it done as it was from a documentation of the tattoo in the watcher's diaries that Giles was able to identify Angel and Angelus as one and the same. "There’s nothing about Angel in the texts, but it suddenly occurred to me that it’s been ages since I’ve read the diaries of any of the watchers before me. … There’s mention some two hundred years ago in Ireland of Angelus, the one with the angelic face. … Does this Angel have a tattoo behind his right shoulder?" That entry had to have been at least a century old for this watcher to have been able to associate it with Angelus, how he was able to get that close to Angelus at all let alone a half-naked Angelus and live to write about it is unclear and is possibly an oversight. Giles's aforementioned regard raises the question of whether the watcher's council was aware of the curse, but certainly, the watcher who documented the tattoo could not have gotten that close and been unable to tell the difference even considering Angel's semi-sociopathy in the 1950's as depicted in 'Are You Now...'. The winged demi-lion, however, can apparently symbolize both Angel and Angelus. Quote:

The vibes are particularly strong at the beginning of WITW while they're getting dressed up for the ballet. It screams date night! Especially this moment: He looks so proud to have her on his arm, like he feels like a king. ~ This is a must read! Some Reassembly Required The PTB send Angel and Cordy from their respective predicaments in 'Deep Down', in the higher plane and at the bottom of the ocean back to SAR to prevent an apocalyptic change of events. Eric has been hired by Wolfram & Hart to kill Willow so that Angel can't be re-souled after he loses it to Buffy. Angel and Cordy must keep Willow alive while reliving the events of SAR uncompromisingly with an unintended twist: They must assume each other's roles as Connor sabotaged an attempt of Fred's to use a locator spell on them resulting in their bodies being switched. __________________

Those were the glory days of shipping CA. Before Joss assassinated our ship and our beloved Queen C. I never, in a million years, could have imagined what awaited us in season 4. I have still never been so betrayed by a show in my life. Quote:

All due appreciation to Joss for the soft-core porn in WITW and the masterpiece of a kiss in 'You're Welcome', I'll never forgive him for what he did to Cordy and Cangel with Jasmine. Have you read this: Double Take: Parody & Passion It's an alternate version of DON that she wrote in response to an apparent mass protest that there wasn't a threesome in the original but also alters the circumstances of the split and the character relationships except for B/A. Unfortunately, there is a lot less development and some events are rushed but it's more C/A/Aus focused, there is no Angel going evil and near raping Cordy nor Willow interfering with her pink concoction. In fact, there is no alluding at all that the split is temporary. The C/Aness is also a bit stronger because Angel and Cordy were already close friends and his feelings had escalated to the next level when he did the split. Giving Angelus a separate existence only worked to force Angel to face and give into those feelings. __________________
