YW
& yeah, we would have done better if FF had been working properly I definitely could see her staying in L.A. although I guess she would have had to avoid the police! I just love that scene with her at the hotel so much, I so could have seen her & Gunn as a Brotp, Wesley kinda being a watcher figure to her & of course her connection with Angel Do you think she really wanted to die in that episode? __________________

The Angel and Faith scene. I loved the scene so much!
Can't believe this is the end of Faith in ATS. She was so perfect on the show. Makes me remember having Angel, Willow and Faith scenes in the comics. I never knew what to make of that Fred/Willow scene.... |

I guess Willow was into Fred & Fred just being herself made it seemed like she was flirting
I didn't know that Willow hung out with them in the comics too! __________________

Probably the writers just want it to be an excuse for the evil Angel did in the past without a soul? I know Spike isn't forgiven for anything he did without the soul because people see him as the same person but even though I love Angel, that should be for him as well... It does seem like she was ready to give up because she thought it was her time. Probably she was just tired of everything? All it took was Angel getting through to her though. I'm not sure though if she really wanted to die though although it seems she was giving up for good.... I saw it as her accepting her fate. |

It's more complicated than that for Spike, because if you applied the Angel soul logic to him, then 'William' wouldn't have had the feelings for Buffy, that would have been the demon side that had somehow fallen in love with her....it benefitted the writers to not make them two seperate characters just like it benefitted them to seperate Angel & Angelus - super annoying though.
Maybe Faith thought that if she died trying to stop Angelus, that would somehow be a noble death & it would mean that she had finished her redemption. It's hard, because when Angelus asks her if she wants to die in the episode before & she shouts 'no', I really believe that she means it. I would believe that it was just her accepting her fate even if it wasn't for some of the comments that Angel made towards her, as if she was just trying to take the easy way out, which I think is a bit harsh. __________________

Well I guess falling in love without a soul makes sense because I would think your feelings should intensify when you get a soul or at least be the same. Like I believe if Angelus fell in love for Buffy, Season 2 of BTVS would've been a lot more easier. Like with Angel/Darla. I actually feel that Angelus deeply fell for Darla, and it carried on with Angel although I feel Angelus feelings at times were stronger than Angel's. I think Darla is the only women Angelus could be with for 100+ years. He respected her, and appreciated her for his existence. Actually all of that just complicates things even more. I like your perspective on Faith possibly ready to die. She probably really did believe she was finished and it was nothing left for her to do so she was ready to die. |

Yeah, throwing Angel & Darla into the mix does complicate it even more. It's hard because I haven't solidified whatI think his feelings for Darla as Angel & Angelus yet because there are just too many inconsinstencies & I guess everyone just has to have their own headcanons
I think that sometimes Angel just found it easier to distance himself from Angelus as much as he could & maybe he exaggerated the differences as much as he could, but eps like Orpheus clearly show that Angel & Angelus are different entities. I just don't know & that's the only way I can make of the Faith wanting to die in that episode comments in the ep, like I said about the last episode, when she said she didn't want to die anymore, I really believed that she was telling the truth __________________

Yeah. All of it is so confusing. lol Also if you throw in Spike/Dru. I believe Spike would've still loved Dru if he got a soul by force during Season 2 or something. Blame it all on the writing. I think your way makes the most sense about Angel trying to distance himself from Angelus even though Orpheous confused things 10x more. She finally felt she fulfilled her purpose. |

Yep, but she's still got a hell of a lot more fighting to go - a lot like Angel
What do you think of a Faith/Gunn Brotp? Because I would have loved to see that! Also, FF is still playing up, so I think we should just leave it at one ep tonight... __________________

Yes she does, eventually it will pay off though. I'd totally be down for it, just from their small interaction alone I could see it. They just hit it off so well. really messed up a lot of stuff tonight. |
