Well CBS doesn't care obviously or they would have canceled already back in season 3

And I looked in my crystal ball and I predict next season's finale will be down another 25% at least but hey...

CBS doesn't care. TGW is getting its seven seasons and then it will be done. Numbers don't matter.

No actually that one is not true then it was renewed for a season 3 it was guarenteed a season 4 because of the 88 episode rule... that said yes they will likely get their 7 season like mentalist did this year... and mentalist is not even in house...

Bit early to predict A season 7, althought I think it would be weird if CBS cancels the show after season 6, knowing the Kings have A 7 year plan, which would require only one more season. I do expect only 13 episodes or so in their 7th season. But it all depends on the ratings next season aswell.

I read something where the Kings said that for season 6 they may structure it differently and do 11 episodes, have a break, then another 11. Maybe they may make those two into s6 and s7 but shorter seasons?

Since in house sync became so important and the sync deal became down to 88 episodes instead of 100 that was the original yes then it became a pretty big ground sure not 100% sure but pretty big it became a thing like 3-5 years ago... even Revenge got a 4th season this year to get it... and Hart of Dixie to come closer to that number.. since Network TV started to drop in ratings it became a real big thing... and especially for in house shows...

Let's see how RK does with 11 episodes! I'm sure it's going to be so much better

Joke aside though (and RK ego aside), I think all the breaks in between episodes in the second part of the season hurt the ratings, at least for the episodes after hiatuses so maybe that would help at least with that. I'm very sure it won't change anything with the lack of coherence, plot holes and general fillers but it would help with the overall ratings for the season
