I wouldn't exactly say that but it's an unavoidable evil, like the dentist. I'll feel better once it's over.
ETA: ""That's too bad" really, Alicia?? And wow! They really thought that obvious fake scene was going to work now that Orphan Black is all over the place? Or was it Robert King having more "fun"? For future reference, RK (in case JM doesn't want to work with someone else ) this is how you do it right: I remember when the board would go to bed at 8am on finale Sunday oh well. __________________

When Kalinda said good-bye to Alicia she was also saying good-bye to us, her fans. I thought the scene was good. Not too maudlin, no tears...short, sweet..after-all parting is such sweet sorrow.
Peter's bombshell about running for prez, Canning's wife working at Lockhart (She did it on her own, shades of when Alicia was starting out), Canning's outburst and threat. .....plot directions for next season. Alicia and Will/Alicia and Finn...some many parallels in this episode. Happy the writers didn't try to run with a new "Will". "Are you still going to pretend you're married..." great line from Grace. Great ending with Canning showing up at the door! lol!!!!!! Well folks, we have a lot of fodder for next season. But there's still that big hole left by Kalinda's departure. I am happy they left things open for guest appearances by Panjabi. |

I don't think that ending is going lead into anything next season. If it does, then the show only repeats itself on a very lame level.

And yet, I do. How much vitriol must there be in that woman’s breast? Why agree to the reunion scene at all if she’s not going to genuinely celebrate the characters’ iconic relationship? It’s unprofessional that a 2.5 year old tantrum couldn’t be set aside for producing one two shot, one Alicia cover, one Kalinda cover. One half day’s work, I suspect. And what effect on her franchise? The PR damage is worse than ever. No one is fooled and no one is silent. I guess I was ok with Kalinda saying she was sorry for the mess up, but those words from Archie’s lips was the latest knife in her back. She was not the perpetrator of the mess, but the recipient . Archie’s free now, and that’s relief. She’s been nothing but gracious. Much success coming to her, I expect. Adieu Kalinda. You’re an icon. You’ll be sorely missed, but remembered for a long time. I’ll watch Archie in anything. Adieu TGW. That Kalinda-sized hole will be crushing to your heart. I’ll do my humbly small part for the fall in ratings. |

Ok so I just have to get this off my chest and say I hated that last scene between Alicia and Kalinda! It was awful. A total insult to us fans. I am glad Archie is leaving coz she deserves to be treated better. I for one will not be watching the next season - if there even is one. I don't believe that Julianna and Archie hate each other. It's completely one sided. It's Julianna who hates Archie. IMO, Archie seems too nice and sweet to hate anyone. She deserves to have her own show and it will be way more successful than TGW ever was. Ok, rant over.

I feel stupid here, but when we see Alicia and Kalinda at the bar side by side, is that not a real two shot? Sorry if this is obvious.
Anyway, the ending with A/K, like everything else about them for some time, was so frustrating and underwhelming. Is anyone getting the impression that it was really Eli who secretly sabotaged Alicia's political career so she could instead support Peter's presidential run? Maybe I'm just getting paranoid. I was glad Finn shot her down. Seriously Finn, you want no part of years of stolen glances, fake marriages and being led on. Though I still suspect they may go there. Quote:

OK, Now I feel stupid here. I don't follow what goes on behind the scenes on shows and I don't often closely read the forums, soooo it seems there is bad blood between AP and JM. Could someone fill me in? Jealousy? Fans liked Kalinda better than Alicia? It seems petty and unprofessional, though? So it must be something else. Pardon my naivete.

It's all rumor and hearsay, because nobody's spilling, but there's no doubt in many of our minds that there's a JM/AP feud behind the scenes. Here's a great blog post from today's Washington Post that spells everything out pretty clearly.

Loved the finale. Can't wait for next season Loved the Kalinda exit (though she'll be missed A LOT) and I actually enjoyed the Kalinda/Alicia scene, CGI or not.
Not interested for a Canning/Alicia partnership, since I think Canning has been overused a lot on this show, but who knows? It may go well.. Peter running for Vice President? LOL. Enough said. __________________
