That bugs me. Its why I believe that she isn't really on his side. If she was, she would talk to Cary more. Take him under her wing, instead of throwing him to the wolves.

If anything Alicia will end up being more on Cary's side then Diane.

I think Diane is on his side, but in the same time she wants people to do it on her own, with work. That is exactly what he is doing. He is working long hours, is most of them one of the lasts to go and is always on time to meetings. Exactly what Diane wants, she likes and notices it but that's it

I also think that Diane just looks from a distance, she notices the hard working people and she notices the people who come in late and such...

I'm not sure if its really favoring Cary but she acknowledges him for his hard work

And I also think that she knows that Cary didn't solve the case, like did wanted to make her believe. But I think she appreciates the way he made her tink he did.

I'm sure Diane talks to Will.. so in the end she'll find out if Cary did it on his own or not..

It would be fun though if diane told him something about that to not take the entire honor.
