I know and I agree. A more "mature" (and maybe darker) role should be his next step (and a main role, please, Matt!). I just needed to vent because I miss him on my TV screen

and it's not as if he couldn't play it. A lot of "hotties" can't make that transition but he's shown he had the chops to do it in TGW. Cary had a lot of darker times.

I hope he can cash in on it now and get something he likes.

Or go totally the other way and do a comedy but I'd prefer it as a movie instead of a long running sitcom

It doesn't look photo-shopped but it looks like it's a private photo of Matt and of a bunch of his friends....maybe it was posted without permit. P.S. He looks great as usual

As long it's great material and the role is meaningful and impactful I'm ok with everything. Of course I'd like for him to grab a main role because I don't want to see him wasted in the background again, without screentime or storylines.

If he got a good guest or recurring spot, there would be less chance of him getting wasted. They don't usually cast actors like him as guests just to let them stand in the background while some Emmy winner does her thing

yeah King Robert didn't seem that interested by Cary for some reason.

I'd love Matt to work with Amazon or Netflix. They have great shows with potential to develop and they need star quality

I think it would have been an interesting partnership. I actually thought from season 1 that they would end up partnering up.
