Similar to what I was thinking.

Colleen was very much front and center WHEN she was in a scene - including her scenes with Danny in the first couple of episodes and the last two episodes with the rest of the defenders. Jessica is still awesome and Colleen is still impressive as a character. If they are going to make a second season of defenders? Better come up with a better excuse for Colleen not being more involved

Sure Colleen has been sidelined but compared to the other characters (Malcolm, Trish, Foggy & Karen), she had a lot of screentime that was important. Especially towards the end where it was her idea to blow up Midland Circle.

I don't think she was sidelined... I actually think that for being a supporting character, she actually had a lot of scenes, and very important participation in the plot generally.
She managed to take down one of the members of the Hand, who were a big bad, she participated in the fight and she was the one that came up with the final plan, it's a lot considering the amount of screentime and importance that the other secondary characters had.

And that too, she killed Bakuto, a member of the Hand. And in the grand scheme of things, I'm glad she was there with the Defenders because she can fight.
