As you know I’m hesitant with Cousins. I’ve watched him with the Vikings. Great QB. But still hasn’t gotten hardware. Maybe a change of scenery works. I just think he’s looking for guaranteed money and that’s the issue with Minnesota. He wants back in Minnesota, but wants the Vikings to give him a guaranteed contract for 3 years. He’s going to be 36 off an Achilles surgery. Vikings won’t do it.

So who knows. Mayfield, I’d take in a heartbeat. Warrior. I liked him in Cleveland. He can make every throw, he’s got a beautiful throw, accurate and with a warrior mentality. I like that kind of QB.

Unfortunately it seems Fields might be going to Atlanta. He’s from Georgia. That’s the high speculation unless he stays with Chicago. Who knows.

Right! It would be ridiculous. He’s made so much money in both DC and Minnesota for zero hardware. It’s like he’s a mirage. He looks really good and puts up fantastic numbers. Teammates love him. Look at the chemistry between Cousins and Jefferson. I mean, it’s all there. Yet… what accomplishments?

If he signed with Pittsburgh at a reasonable price without a fully guaranteed contract, I’d be more optimistic. I think Steelers culture alone might light a fire under him so he doesn’t soften in the big games consistently.

Oh man. Concussions are no joke. They are serious, especially long-term. You might get over them during your career acutely but the long-term side effects later on (like chronic headaches, memory loss) can be devastating.
