Caught up on the comedies...Modern Family was solid. Community was awful. Parks and Recs was the best. The Office was average as usual.
Now I'll have to catch up on Ringer, Hart of Dixie and Revenge. __________________

Bloody hell, I forgot to record everything tonight and I forgot to record Revenge last night (luckily they're replaying it on Friday). I have got to get my DVR act together. Blah. I hate watching TV shows on the computer. *whines like a baby*
Glad to hear the good reviews for Revenge, episode 3! __________________

@Cowgirl08: Since I only watched the Heart Of Dixie pilot, I'll keep reading your posts, maybe the show gets better. Funny thing that you mention with the pilot vs. the 2nd episode, I think I totally suck at seeing any differences with the actors. Somewhere I read that there were some continuity mistakes at Pan Am, but I didn't see any. ROFL, did you know that Victor Garber (Alias, Eli Stone) plays Charlie's Voice on Charlie's Angels? Did you know that? I watched the pilot and I finished an Alias season just days ago. I know that guy's voice. But I never for one second thought: Oh, I know that voice. Heh, a reminder would be great, Matt.
Betty, unfortunately my DVR is stupid. If I select all episodes, it records repeats as well, so I'll have a DVR full of Revenge. Useless DVR! __________________

Did anyone waste their money on going to see What's Your Number? ? It really wasn't worth the 6 € I paid for my ticket! I think Anna Faris is very cute & likable, but I didn't laugh once, so seeing as it was supposed to be a romantic comedy, that's a fail in my book! Also, all the romantic interests except Chris Pratt & Chris Evans looked really similar to me, which I found confusing, though realistic, as people usually have a "type" they fall for (for me it's tall, dark-haired, light eyes, slim/athletic build).
I can't wait to see The Artist which comes out on Wednesday. It's a black & white silent movie that recounts a silent movie actor's fall from fame when talkies are introduced. He also has an ill-fated romance with a co-worker, both of which lead him to have some sort of major breakdown. The trailers have him performing with his dog, doing tap routines with his co-worker that remind me of Kelly's & Astaire's/Ginger Rogers', and the accompanying music is beautiful! Some moments in the trailer made me very emotional, so I think I'll have to bring tissues for this one! Only a few weeks til The Help comes out , for which I'm equally excited! I'm trying to place the black actress who plays Minnie, as I know I've seen her in other stuff! Bryce Dallas-Howard looks amazing with any hair colour and I can't wait to see her take on Hilly. I'm looking forward to seeing Emma Stone again and seeing what role she'll take on next, as I think she could nail any character in any genre. |

Caught up on mostly everything I missed TV-wise while I was away. I see some liked Hart of Dixie and some didn't. Count me in with those who like it. I like it for what it is.
Ides of March Saw this earlier with my dad. We both gave it a solid B. I don't think it should be nominated or anything but the acting was really good. Gosling's had a great year. __________________

Can someone offer HaroldAbbott advice on any shows that he would enjoy similar to EW/Gilmore Girls/Dawson's Creek?

I would suggest Friday Night Lights. |

I'll suggest Veronica Mars, as it's set in a small-ish town, the characters are all pretty interesting and there's a fair amount of father-daughter relationship scenes & a cracking mystery to solve!
Does anyone watch Monk & The Mentalist? The 9.5 year-old I look after watches Monk and her résumé of it plus the one I've read on line make it sound right up my street, though the eponymous character has a lot of phobias/tics which sound like they could be annoying after a while, especially if the writers are inconsistent, but if they're as good at continuity as the writers who are in charge of scripting The Big Bang Theory, I'll be very happy. The Mentalist looks like a male version of Medium, minus the happy family scenes. I think the main actor is cute & talented and it does seem like my cup of tea. I'm even considering getting all 3 Seasons as there's a boxset (that costs less than one Season of the show in a shop!) available from today on play.com. Season 1 is only 12 € though, so I may just get that instead. |

HaroldAbbott, I think Jack & Bobby was fairly close to what Everwood was giving. That's the only thing I've enjoyed enough to get obsessively attached to. It has a lot of the main writers from Everwood, which helps.
Louisa, any progress on getting Castle? __________________

One Tree Hill I would say. Maybe Brothers & Sisters. And My So-Called Life. It's so tough to give the right answer here. Today, I'm gonna catch up all the stuff I didn't watch, it could be a pretty funny day, if all the shows are funny. |

My So-Called Life is awesome!
I don't know if Privileged ever came out on DVD, but it's cute & fun and the main character (Megan) is fabulous! Also Sarah Drew's popped up in the episode I'm currently watching! |
