Funny story: At one of my jobs, they played a training video on safety that looked like it was made sometime in the 1980’s, and the actor who played Irv was in it. Voiceovers were seasons 1/2 and I believe seasons 3/4 they were sprinkled in sometimes, but not regularly, and not always Irv. I remember Ephram did the one voiceover in season 3.

But seasons 1/2 the voiceovers were consistent. I remember there was a thread created back in 2008ish and people were discussing if the voiceovers were necessary. Amazingly, some people didn't like them. I have to disagree!

John Beasley (Irv) recently guest starred on The Resident, Emily's new show. Emily's character even interacted with his character for a second. It was so Everwood.

Irv took care of Amy in season 2 when she was suffering from depression so on The Resident Amy the nurse took care of Irv, the patient.

Absolutely. The way that they look at each other is adorable. There is so much love, Amy literally has to put her head down to contain how happy she is. Then they just melt into each other for the kiss.
