Right? It's absolutely insane. It's like certain parts of the world are overcome by this evil force when it comes to the sport of soccer. I will never understand it. I once knew someone who was a diehard supporter of a team in EPL. He literally talked like it was okay to go with flag burning and violence in the stands because the game was life and death. You fight to live both on and off the field. That was his mentality.

That's so crazy

It was like a religion for this guy. He thought I was overreacting and totally in the wrong for being concerned over him being okay with violence because of fan passion. It was so concerning.

We don’t remotely have that here. Huge sports fans but I can’t think of any sport that causes such an extreme reaction that crosses a line. Same with you in Aussie I’d assume?
