It’s like vegetarian but you can eat fish. I actually like it. A lot of my bloating was due to the other meats I was eating.

I'm going to have to look it up. I have terrible issues with my GI. Always have but since the hysterectomy things have gotten worse and red meat in particular feels like I'm eating glue, bloating, big time. Everywhere I've read said people with pelvic floor issues should up the fiber, increase fruits and vegetables, remove red meat and as much dairy as possible.

I still eat dairy but have switched to lactose free. But my dairy intake was always minimal. I have switched to making more lentils and beans. It’s a huge difference.

Nice. I love all types of beans. I love my cheese but cannot drink milk. I think I'd feel a lot better if I got rid of cheese but it would be tough since I love it so much. I think limiting cheese is the best option.

Awesome! Thanks!

... this diet seems precisely what I'm looking for. I do not eat enough seafood, that is for sure. Seafood is great for inflammatory conditions. Getting more protein with beans and nuts, too. I am printing this out, thanks for the link and suggestions!

No problem. At first, I thought I had a gluten or dairy allergy. But, even when I cut it out or reduced I was having issues. My doctor who is Japanese says he recommends doing some variation of a pescatarian diet for all his patients with GI issues. Ever since, I cut out red meat and chicken, I've felt better.

It really does. It's just so interesting because I've been strongly thinking about following a specific diet again over the past few days and then Shu mentions a diet that absolutely matches what I'm looking for. It feels too meant to be, like it's a sign from the beyond that this diet is my answer.
