^ Oh yes, I remember now. The only couple on the show that I didn't like was PJo but I liked her with other guys. Also liked Dawson with Gretchen and DJen for a while in s5. DJo is my OTP for the show though so they're the ones I always wanted together eventually.

As far as DOOL goes, I agree. And that's about it, we can discuss it further on the couples board.

Joey/Eddie ruined Season 6 for me.

I agree, they needed better writing.

Season 1 was the best writing for them.

Welcome back Nikki

I was rooting for DJo and was glad when they got together. I do wish their relationship had lasted a bit longer the first time though.

They were the reason I watched the show. not to mention on a superficial note James and Katie are very good looking.

I remember seeing the promo's for DC & even taping the first episode. I watched Season 1 over & over. I loved DJo so much then.

I wish KW had thought beyond Season 1 b/c after it's obvious he had no idea what to do with DJo as a couple.

I know he thought the show wouldn't make it to Season 2.

Season 1 is like watching a mini series ending with DJo finally together after all the buildup.

The writers admitted that they only broke DJo up in s2 to keep the "will they, won't they" thing going. That was a huge trope in the 90s so in a way it makes sense that they did it to DJo but in retrospect, I wish we had seen them together longer in s2 and in s6. Them ripping the rug out from under them/the fans twice without any payoff was really disappointing.

s1 is great because it was all filmed prior to fans seeing it. I think it was more "soapy" after s1, as much as I like the show. It did lose a little bit of its magic once s1 was over. I actually didn't see most of s1 until later on--I saw the s1 finale before anything else.

I agree that didn't give them a enough of a shot in S2. I think Season 2 would have bee much better if they had kept them together longer. I know in shows, they don't like to put couples together too early, but I think in this case, having two childhood friends all of a sudden fall in love is a great storyline. I think they should have left them together throughout the whole season and then if they wanted to break them up, they still could have in the same way at the end of S2.

I like that idea.

The will/they won't/they thing was supposed to mean DJo would be endgame.

That was what was supposed to be the payoff.

We all know that's true but PJo became more popular than they thought they would IMO.

It's well known in the end either ship could have been endgame.

DJo didn't ever get that payoff that had been planned.

They deserved at least a chance to be a couple for more than a few episodes.

I wouldn't have minded DJ staying together throughout S2. It's like the writers didn't think beyond getting them together.

I'm so tired of the will/they won't/they thing they could have break them up in the beginning of season 3 for example, it's like the writers didn't want to have 2 established couples (DJo & Pandie) at the same time in season 2

Yes and when Dawson said I love you Joey ran away. Why? It made me hurt inside. They had so many great moments but they never got a chance that they should have. They will always be there for each other is what I love about them.

I know I've posted this before, but it's been quite a while.
