^ It made sense that she was hurt but it didn't make sense that she'd push him away as cruelly as she did. She was really angry with her dad, not Dawson but he was the easier target. It's sometimes easier to push away the people we love/depend on the most. I'm glad Joey realized she was wrong and can't blame Dawson for trying to keep his distance at first. I just didn't like that it went on as long as it did, that didn't make sense for either character given their friendship and history.

I know what you mean. I was watching Escape to Witch Island tonight and that speech Joey gave to Dawson about him not knowing what is going on in her life and vice versa really makes you think about that. Joey asking him if he knew what happened with her job or how the Potter sisters are getting by financially.... something that he would have known before

And given all their history, it really doesn't make sense that they'd grow that far apart without either of them making more of an effort to change it. Joey hurt Dawson in s2 but he was still there for her after the initial break. So it doesn't make sense that neither of them tried to fix things earlier than they did. Of course, it still happened because they're DJo but it took longer than it should've imo.
