If we are talking of terms of Smallville and blocking the history in my mind. Clark is sort of the reason for his friendship with Lex fallen apart.
I feel Lex would've been such a great friend if he known from the beginning about Clark's secret.
Like Lex/Lana NEVER would've happened if Lex knew.
Later on, Lex was getting driven from obsession for not knowing the truth.
