^ Yup, I think the end of Season 3 was the time limit for Clark telling his secret, after that, it became irrelevant to tell him...

The TW and MR acting in 7x16 was just terrific. One of my favorite scenes between them just cause the words and how powerful it was!!

It sure did, 7x16 episode really had them really look like enemies and it felt there was really no turning back from that.

^ I know, even though I felt their relationship was ruined once the Lex/Lana relationship happened. But yeah that nailed it in the coffin.

I had fanboy goosebumps back in the day when lex said "our friendship will be the stuff of legends"

Yes! It was legendary when they were good friends. Then it all turned upside down. I wanted them to change their fate. It didn't have to stick to the comics!

I completely agree that changing it around for once would have been a nice idea. Not sticking to the original material is a lot easier for a comic book show because there are so many iterations of it in existence
I did love their complex rivalry but I wish they could have held it off for awhilelonger. Sad that the final nail in their friendship was over a woman. __________________

Sadly as much as I love their friendship, there was ZERO chance of them to not end up as enemies in less it turned out that Lex WASN'T the real Lex Luthor from the comics.
They could've pulled a Jimmy Olsen with him and not made him the real Lex. lol Sadly, Clark and Lex been enemies WAAAYYY too longer. It'd be like a Batman tv series changing the end result of Joker and Batman being enemies. It's just not going to happen. Somethings can change, but sadly the Clark and Lex end result friendship just couldn't be one of those things.... as much as I love the friendship, it just couldn't be changed. lol |

I wouldn't be opposed to Batman and Joker becoming friends. Though I'm not sure that has ever happened, since they first met. Clark and Lex were very good friends and I sometimes do wonder the outcome if Clark did tell Lex about his secret early on. Clark fought so hard for that friendship, especially in front of his dad. Sad it didn't last. And I also felt they went too fast to make them enemies. And I wanted them to be enemies for a more epic reason/cause.
