The exgirlfriend that showed up, etc. That side of him, that was hinted in the pilot. It started to vanished by the middle of the season and was gone by the end.

I guess his "bad guy" days disappeared with his resentment towards Walter. However, he must have kept contact with some of his weird connections, because they were always ready to help him with the cases.
