Science Girlfriends {Cosima ღ Delphine} #3: "Cosima doesn't know how to even deal with how much she wants Delphine."
#3; c o s i m a ღ d e l p h i n e appreciation thread “the love story of the show” GRAEME MANSON Brilliant grad student meets gorgeous French scientist. You have killer grades. Enchantée. Bonjour, Cosima. I'm so glad you could come. Love me, love me, say that you love me; fool me, fool me, go on and fool me. Did you just say a jogging? I'm gonna get you so baked one day. It's really nice to make a friend in this brave new world. I'm kind of always late, so, kind of always sorry. Yes, I am the cold turkey asshle. Don't you think it's time we admit what this is really about? You know, it's really nice to have some who gets it -- who gets me. Yeah, ditto, obvs. I can't stop thinking about that kiss. Like, in a not bad way? I have never thought about bisexuality. I mean, for myself, you know? But, as a scientist, I know that sexuality, is a spectrum. But you know, social biases they codify attraction. It's contrary to the biological facts. That's oddly romantic. Totally encouraging. You're going to be a craven addict. I think I already am. Promise me Cosima's safe. I was wondering if I could come over later? Bonsoir ma chérie. I'm so stupid. No, no you're not -- you knew this all along. I knew it was bullsht, but I still thought you were on my side. I wanted to trust you. You can trust me. Listen to me, I had to do it! He says you're in danger. Delphine, you can use me, that's fine, but don't go near that little girl. I didn't, and I won't! Listen to me, please, just listen: I didn't want to fall for you. I wasn't supposed to. But I have. How can I possibly believe that, Delphine? Because you feel it. This is not a lie -- it's not possible. Si l’on me perd, sache que je serai la tienne; if they lose me, know that I'll be yours. Why I are you here? Because I ... I'm on your side now. Please believe me. You have to trust someone. I know your code number. You do? Yes, I saw it many times. It's 324B21. Hey, I'm sorry. I'm sick, Delphine. fans. x

Ha! Awesome title!
TFTNT! ETA If attraction is in part determined by how genetically compatible people are, their genomes must be hypercompatible. |

WTF I go away for a few days and come back to a new thread? Way to go guys.
Back to where the old thread left off. I agree that it's ridiculous the double standard shown with C and D, but they did get tamer with the sex scenes after the season premiere. However, Paul and Sara still get more racy scenes even if it isn't the episode 1 table **** in the kitchen. They got the shower scene, Paul's naked body on Sarah, and in Felix's bed which we knew they were naked. The bras and panties in bed after sex was just laughable. These types of scenes are done on Lost Girl all the time. Even SyFy had a scene in Defiance that was more "explicit" than C/D. They show this stuff with hetero couples every day on regular TV shows without showing nudity. They either are wrapped in sheets, or when someone gets out of bed naked they film it in a way where no nudity is shown. They go from woman's naked back to head shots or pan away to the other person in bed. So there really is no justifiable way to explain the underwear in bed other than to say, "What the actual ****? This is stupid." Cuz really it's the dumbest thing I've seen on TV in a while and it makes me roll my eyes every time I watch it. It's BBCAmerica which is not the same as UK BBC. I remember there was a huge uproar after they edited the Naomi/Emily scenes as well. So they have a history of it. We'll see if anything changes next season. I highly doubt it but would welcome it, gladly. Last edited by PheeNiks; 06-29-2013 at 02:48 PM |

^ see, like I said before, even ****ing glee did it better. with two characters that didn't even kiss, not even a peck. ****ING. GLEE. that pretty much ends the conversation.

right? that **** was ****ing infuriating to me. I mean, can't show a same-sex sex scene? fine, but be ****ing realistic about it. this is the kind of **** that could give AE some food for thought. they pretty much got syfy to release a statement after they cut 2 seconds of lauren touching bo's arm in LG season 2.
I mean, come on. *calms self* __________________

I watch Lost Girl on Showcase not SyFy, so do they show the full Doccubus love scenes like the Canadian channel does?
And I couldn't figure out the Glee scene you were referring to either cuz I haven't watch it since season 2 but then I remembered seeing a Quinn/Santana clip somewhere. Well now I just feel insulted for Cosima and Delphine. ugh. And I don't think either of the actresses would have a problem with it. I mean, they're Canadian Tatiana seems very pro-gay and has no problem with racy scenes. And Evelyne, well she tongued Tatiana during that kiss so... |

I mean, yeah, it's cool that Santana and Quinn were naked in their (totally pointless, nothing but gross fanservice) sex scene, but honestly, like, I'd rather have a show have a legitimate lesbian couple with with no implied (or actual) nudity in their sex scenes ... Do I WANT awesome sex scenes? Yeah. But I mean, one implied nudity sex scene in Glee does not awesomeness make. At least the comparisons to Bo/Lauren are (somewhat) more legitimate.
(Disclaimer: I hate Glee! Oops.) AE could probably help get C/D a legitimate sex scene at some point, but then they'd have to actually care, so yeah, don't see that happening. Anyway, it's not like the sex scene ruined my enjoyment of the show. At least they HAD sex and were actually shown in bed together, unlike some couples I have enjoyed over the years ... And like I said, they're a well-written couple, so. TPTB could obviously do better, but at least they're moving in the right direction. (And no, I'm not excusing it.) |

oh, absolutely. don't get me wrong, I also hate glee with the passion of a thousand burning suns. but that little showcase - fanservice or not - just goes to show how it was not about them being lazy or the scene presenting any kind of "technical" difficulties. it is the good old double standard and that is enough to piss me off.
sure, I would rather have an on going well written storyline with implied, horribly written "sex scenes" than have the opposite happen, but we can have both. they should be able to find a middle ground in season 2 (assuming they are going to have sex anytime soon). |
