Towards the end of the episode Fi is investigating a house where the man who tried to kill Michael supposedly lives. He's wired it into a 'firebox' (the voice over explains it, but I don't feel like repeating). So Michael gets to the house where Fi is and it's totally in flames with firetrucks there and a crowd gathered and everything. He tries to run to it and it takes 4 or 5 firemen/policemen to hold him back while he keeps shouting things like "Was anybody in there? Has anyone seen a woman? Was she in there?" and just in general freaking out. So he keeps trying to call her and she's not answering and he just looks devastated. So this happened late afternoon, the camera pans over Miami as it fades to night. Michael gets back to the loft in the rain. It's obvious he has not found Fi and thinks she's dead. He's looks totally defeated. He walks into the loft, very slowly and sadly shuts and locks the door...and there's Fi sitting at the counter, telling him how he needs to get a landline in the loft and how her cell got destroyed by the fire. He walks up to her slowly like he's seeing a ghost. She realizes he thought she was dead. He holds her face in his hands, touches his forehead to hers, kisses her lightly on the lips, and then they totally start making out.
