shins - I got the autographed picture of her in May of last year, so the only thing I mentioned in my letter was the Yahoo! group I started up. I've since mentioned the LWN site in a birthday card I sent her this June, but I didn't expect a response from that since it was just a card and not a letter.

Jenna - I agree about the newest picture. I think the last two pics went more for dramatic roles and the newest one was designed for comedy/glamour casting.

Merry Christmas or Happy Hanakkauh (i slayed that spelling) or Kwanzaa everyone [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]. I feel pretty good despite having to work today. I won the latest Liza pic auction so I should have a scan of that soon. I found an old pic of Liza at Sundance promoting Whatever with her castmates when I did a websearch on Monday night...

I also found this writing site called ShinyGun where they took Liza's name (at random I assume or else the writer knew her once) and turned her into a fictional character. Liza is well...Liza, a single girl in New York City with a weird set of friends who frets about sexual foibles and work. I read through most of it so far, and as weird as the idea is of a different Liza Weil out there, it's a nice little story that's up to the fifteenth chapter so far. Check it out here;

Thanks for the links Nate. I feel really behind. Is Lullaby available at Blockbuster you think? Maybe Hollywood Video. I just watched the first clip of Liza and the baby...cute, I bet touching in the film.

I really hope Liza does a movie this summer hiatus, a nice meaty dramatic role. GG hasn't been exploiting her dramatic side at all this season...although she is awesome at comedy too. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

For now the only way to get it is through the director's site Lex, I can't find it anywhere but there (go to buy films on the homepage of the site). But I assure you it's well worth the $20 that he asks for it.

I love those scenes she has with the baby, especially the part where she's changing him and...he squirts in her eye [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]. It's also hilarious when her husband won't let her party during pregnancy, so he goes out and leaves her one can of beer, calling it a 'party in a can. She tells him back "How am I supposed to party with this?" [img]smilies/goof.gif[/img].

I'll edit this post and add to it more later, but I have to get to work. I got the new eBay pic just a few minutes ago and scanned it in, it's very nice up-close [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]!

I totally agree, it's been two years since she's done a film. But reading the update to the WB bio which mentions the Sundance lab she did over the summer, Liza could be doing more work behind the camera too. I'd love to see her write or direct an episode of GG, she'd probably have a better handle on the characters and settings than some of the behind-the-camera staff has this year. Oooh, she could actually move the plots forward too, how would that sound [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]?

I just hope that if she does get a movie role, someone's smart enough to give her top billing, not like last time where Kevin Costner hammed it up during her one scene in Dragonfly [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img].

I'm still hopeful, just as long as DP doesn't get an episode in the next strech of new episodes, then I'm not very hopeful for good drama.

I was searching the Google newsgroups for any Liza mentions, and I came upon this topic from the Star Trek Enterprise group;

Liza as a Star Trek Character?

It's strange, but possible, she has the looks and mannerisms to play a science fiction character, though I don't think she'd do it herself. Maybe we'll be surprised one day.
