Lindsay, are beaches closed due to the pandemic? Or is it only the weather keeping you away?
We don't have snow, but it's been chilly. Frasier is good comfort T.V. Whenever I need a break from other shows, or can't decide what to watch, it's there. I hope everyone has a good weekend. __________________

I'm still so confused with both BST and DST.
Pia, our beaches are closed again because of the rise in cases. They're closing it for a week and then go from there and see if things will improve after a week. We're going backwards here a year into this pandemic. I wish I have a way to watch Frasier but I can only do that if it's available on a streaming site here. __________________

Frasier is always good to watch.
We will have lighter evenings for the summer now. Things are opening up a bit more in the UK. I don't know if that will last. __________________

There's actually a movement to get rid of DST here.
The beaches (or lake front) are closed for now. Plus it's still too cold to hang out there. Lindsay, it's hard to see how things will turn out here. I feel like we take one step forward, then two steps back. __________________

I'm only confused because it's not needed here. We normally get light as early as 6am. Although during the -ber months, it's later than that, around 6:30 but still not too late to have to adjust our clocks.
I miss the cold, ngl. Yesterday we had 10K+ cases in one day. It's our highest ever since this pandemic began. My mom is scared to go out. I've been instructing her to do everything online but she always needs assistance when it comes to technology. We're partially on lockdown but not fully closed unlike last year but I am back working from home (at least for this week). __________________

Lindsay, Your poor mother. I don't know how old she is, but I hate how Covid is isolating people who are older.
Supposedly, we have a 4th wave coming. I must have lost track of our waves because I don't remember a third. All things considered. I hope everyone is having a good week. __________________

I told mom that she can go out and walk but she's just scared. And I don't want to be the annoying daughter and change her mind about it. We're still waiting for vaccines here and mom is on the priority list (after HCWs) because she's a senior citizen. We don't know if my grandma, who's turning 99 years old this year, will get vaccinated and I'll leave that decision to my mom and her siblings.
It's month end for me today and also the last day of work since it's the Easter break. I'll spend these next 4 days with my family, eat food and watch Netflix. I hope you're all having a great week so far. __________________

I'm having a great week, thanks Pia and Lindsay. I have been digging and planting at my allotment. I go back to work next Tuesday. That's a bit earlier than I was expecting. I am looking forward to getting back to normal a bit but I will miss waking up late.
I don't know how many waves the UK has had. I was thinking that it has been one long wave. That sounds like a nice Easter break for you, Lindsay. I hope everyone will have a lovely Easter break. __________________

It's good that you're going back to work on Tuesday, Julie. And I hope the allotment goes well of course. I hate this 3 weeks F1 break.
Geez this summer heat is too much. UGH. It's great that I'm back home and that I don't have to cook or fake knowing how to cook as mom is around to do all of that now. I'm still trying to convince her to go out (because she also needs the exercise). Let's see if she'll budge. __________________

Thanks, Lindsay. My allotment seems to be doing well so far. There are some shoots growing and some tulips and daffodils growing.
I hope your mum manages to go out, Lindsay. __________________

Your allotment sounds exciting.
Lindsay, maybe the two of you can take a walk together. Or as a family? Or get her to walk a dog. And I'll trade some of our cold for your heat. Our temperatures are in the freezing range today. And my parents's area got some snow. __________________

I like tulips and daffodils! You should take a picture when they're full grown and post it here, Julie.
Pia, that's actually a good idea especially the walking together, I'll try that. My mom is taking care of my dog but she doesn't walk him so sometimes I have to drop by to walk him (I live near mom). Geez, there's still snow over there? Meanwhile it's 91F here. UGH. __________________

You can share your heat with Pia and me, Lindsay. It's getting warmer here but I could use some more heat.
I have figured out how to get my pics on here. I'll post some pics in the Photos thread. __________________
