That scene was just so lovely.
There is something about Jamal and Cookie scenes, it's just so natural and you see how much they love each other.

Probably it's because of how close Taraji and Jussie are... I don't know... but like I feel the love more with them probably than any two characters together.

I don't know if anyone seen the video here... but this was from last season of Taraji talking about her relationship with Jussie and how art imitates life.

All I can say is that it really shows. Like I'd be shocked if they weren't close because of how genuine their scenes comes across on screen.

I guess as I said before... he'll always have a place to here heart closest than anyone else because he's the only one who gave a damn when she was locked away when everyone sort of turned their backs on her.

Hakeem is the only one who gets a free pass on that because he was a baby and listened to everything Lucious told him.

Jamal is just that one who had the biggest connection with Cookie because she always accepted him the way he was.

When she got out of prison, her first place was to check on Jamal.
She's just so protective over him even through his odd moments like slamming the door in her face over Lucious.
