She's the one for me. Does that always work out? Is it always the best? ...Throughout it all, throughout the mess and the trouble and the turmoil and my damage and her problems in her family and all, there's that thing. But that doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to work out easily or well or whatever. But we're both in there trying. And what we love and what we've talked about, which is why I deign to speak for her, is that sometimes we have these conversations in the midst of all the trouble and all the angst and turmoil where we just sit there and just talk to each other and you can feel it again. You feel that connection again. It gets broken from time to time but it's always right there and it hums. Connie: What I love about the Deacon/Rayna relationship is that it is a very grown up relationship. It's a relationship of people who have a lifetime together and a history together and as actors that's so fun to play because there's so much dimension and depth to it and we can go in so many different directions, you know. And we have. There have been scenes where we can just rip each other apart in so many ways... but there's always this foundation between the two of them and everybody has relationships like that in their lives and I think that that is something that you want that. Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that this is probably the last thread we'll ever have for them ...
 After four years and everything they've been through, I wish their story would have gotten an appropriate closure. Looking forward to the next two episodes, though, and hoping for some good scenes between them. I'm sure it's gonna be hard, but I'll try to enjoy every moment with them as much as possible  |

That was unsatisfying. I expected to hear them actually hashing it out and I thought there was supposed to be a scene where he told her what he was feeling? Instead it was all about how he's such a letdown and how she needs to forgive him for it. The end was nice, but it would have been nice to see where it came from.
Were the writers tweeting tonight? I didn't see anything. Guess they're officially unemployed? |
