Oh LORD that episode was so good. WOW WOW WOW. I EFFING LOVE THIS SHOW.

First of all, Moira's story, omg my heart broke. She had a child that she gave up for adoption AND she was engaged? Holy crap. Her and her fiancé were SO DAMN ADORABLE. I am sad we only got to really see one scene of them pre-dating and not more than that. I really hope we get to see more flashbacks. I felt so horrible for her when she saw the photos of her dead. That was soooooo heartbreaking. NOOOOO. I wanted her to reunite with her. And it seems her biological son is living in the UK I think they said so at least he's not in Gilead....

Luke on the other hand seems to be totally removed from the situation. Like, he wasn't even worried that June might be harmed and seemed almost ignorant to the whole thing, like he just wants to live in this weird happy bubble. It's definitely strange. It was nice touch learning that Ofglen2's name was actually Lily and they showed a photo of her real self. Very interesting.

Nick and June were SO DAMN ADORABLE. I love when he comforted her in the hallway. The way he looks at her and touches her is just the cutest, its always so obvious how much he loves her. I loved how he said he'd protect her and the kiss! ... Next week it looks like he gets angry with his new bride! I wonder what is going to go down there.

We knew the Commander was going to be okay, and it looks like he will be back next week. But Serena is SURELY loving her new position of power. YIKES. I am SCARED for her next week, it looks like the commander might punish her right in front of June, which is just frightening. But with that said I actually enjoyed Serena a lot this episode. When June went to her about the creepy dude investigating the household Serena got him taken away with was pretty BA and then the ending! OMG. Coming up with new drafts was NOT smart and even worse, having June edit them for her... I just adored that ending moment so dang much though, it was so good "I need a pen." with the pen clicking and everything. sfdsfdsfdsfsd.

EMILY IS BACK YA'LL. I knew the minute they were being rounded up that they were going to be chosen for handmaid's again. Its amazing that they are all in the same place again and when June went to Emily, MY HEART! I love that she told her her name finally. All the handmaids saying their names was the sweetest moment, I actually teared up. This show man...

I was crying so hard at this ep when all the handmaids introduced themselves to each other, that was so beautiful and I'm glad we learned the name of the handmaid as well who'd sacrificed herself.
it's horrible either way for Emily and Janine but it is safer for them to be handmaids again and not working in the colonies anymore guess there's only horrible and not-so-horrible now..

seeing more of Moira's past was so heartbreaking she's given up a kid and now she's learned that her fiancée was killed for a while I was hoping that she'd get to see her again one day

the funeral for the handmaids was really nice, and I thought Aunt Lydia would punish the remaining ones somehow, but it looked like she was actually grieving and the Commanders took care of the investigation.

it was really cool how Serena got rid of the investigator who was so threatening to June and got entire households killed. in moments like these I almost like her but I know she's only doing it to keep the baby safe and nothing else.
when she offered June that she could help her with the new security guidelines, wow that was a shocking turn of events that she'd actually trust her with something like that.

Poor Emily & Janine, I don't know what'd be worse, being a Handmaid or in the colonies. The thought of being a Handmaid is outright body-horror, but at least if you manage to escape you'll probably be healthy. There's a bit more freedom in the colonies but it's a death sentence.

Also I feel bad for hating on a young teenage girl, but Eden really irritates me.

I feel like last nights episode was bittersweet. With the baby storyline, her finding happiness and then in the present day him getting taken away.

Eden doesn't irritate me that much yet. (I might be a bit biased because i love her character on 'everything sucks'). The only annoying thing she's done so far imo is talk about Nick possibly being a gender traitor. But I think she's just brainwashed into following this new world and trying to be perfect for her new lifestyle. She's young and thinks this is how she is supposed to be. She could also be just trying to stay in line so she doesn't get punished, as I'm sure many people are doing. She didn't look particularly thrilled to make June pick up the pen for her, there was a lot of hesitation there. But I guess we will see how she reacts to Nick's outburst next week. She can go either way I think.

I think being a Handmaid is a little better than being in the colonies. At least you get your own room, and are given proper food. You aren't forced to work hard out in the fields every day and drink contaminated water. When you do get pregnant it seems you get praised and pampered. It doesn't look like they get any sort of privacy in the colonies either and rarely can shower/change clothes. HOWEVER, there seems to be a bit more freedom in the colonies and less people watching your every move. And obviously being raped every month as a handmaid is horrible, but maybe you will luck out and get a good family that is pretty nice to you? Emily's second home seemed to be decent. I guess it depends what you could put up with more.

I really hope that Emily or Moira find love again some day. (hey maybe it'll be with each other! ). Because they both lost their significant others and deserve happiness!

A lot of the characters are improving this season for me... especially Aunt Lydia, but I also think that Serena is a bit more likable. She's obviously still horrible but she has some moments of decency. I think deep down she is threatened by June. She was threatened by her relationship with Fred, and she also knows that June is an intelligent woman and strong. She also is jealous of the love that she sees between Nick and June because her and Fred clearly aren't that way. So I think thats where all her hatred comes from.

That was an amazing ep! I actually don't feel depressed after. That ep gave me a slither of hope.

The funeral with the dead handmaids was so well shot. Red against white snow is so pretty on screen. Also how sick was it that handmaids have two wardrobes? One for their daily wear, the red one. And another red one for a funeral. Why do they have another wardrobe for a funeral? UGH.

FINALLY Moira is back. Her backstory was so heartbreaking. Not only is she a surrogate but she was engaged and now she lost her fiance! Samira's acting though. I cried with her when she saw the dead picture of Odette. And WTF Luke? Is he just emotionally numb now and gave up? He didn't even offer to help Moira.

Can Nick & June stop kissing in public? They're giving me anxiety. If they get caught, they are both going to be in so much trouble. Just do it elsewhere and not in a freaking hospital. Geez! And of course Commander Pryce is dead. Nick's stuck in Gilead forever. I still don't care for Eden and the way she was side-eyeing the handmaids makes me think she's bad news (or at least I'm hoping she is, LOL).

Emily & Janine back as handmaids is definitely a bit better than being in the colonies. Don't they get sick there and die? And by better of course I mean this loosely since being a handmaid is still not better but at least they are taken care of and eat properly. The scene where the handmaids all introduce each other by their real name was so touching. It was sad that they never knew Ofglen's (2.0) name.

Lastly my favorite thing in this whole damn ep: June, Nick & Serena taking down Commander Cushing. This exchange hit me like a nerve:

Serena: Fred won't allow it.
June: But he isn't here, Serena.

And then cut to Serena's face and I swear, Yvonne nailed that expression it gave me goosebumps. I am also surprised that Serena trusted June to look over/edit some papers for her though that might be influenced by that kickass thing they did so some level of trust is unspoken between them. Although I will still be forever skeptical of Serena because she may be good now but what about tomorrow? And what's gonna happen when the Commander is back? Is she going to ignore and treat June like crap again?
