I saw a pic of what appeared to be a christening scene being filmed at a church in Beaconsfield. I can't 100% say it was a christening because it was a small pic which was later deleted, but I'm told a baby was there. And it's a church of England church -and looks like one. I don't see how it could be used as a catholic church.

From what I know and have seen. Anglican churches do not differ that much from Catholic churches. I can easily see Anglican church serving as a Catholic one during filming.

Sorry but they are very different. When the English church broke with Rome in the 16th century all churches became Church of England. Only in the late 18th century could Catholic churches be built once more (Catholics were able to join the army, inherit property etc) and the churches have a very different look architecturally as well as inside.

This is the church where the filming I referred to took place - couldn't be more CofE.

They filmed in Lincoln's Inn Fields in London. The only scenes filmed in Lincolnshire were some of the jail scenes (communal scenes, prison exterior). I'm sorry but Catholic churches are entirely different from Church of England.

I agree If what I heard is true (I think it was in the spoiler thread?), there might be some Dublin scenes. However, this were filmed in Lincolnshire and not Dublin. So maybe they might do the same.

You don't have to give me a history lesson, believe me . Old Catholic churches were turned into Anglican ones. Of all the main Protestant churches, the Anglican one is closest to the Catholic one. CC even hoped for a reconcilliation between the two for some time, because the differences aren't that great and could have been mended. I have been in numerous CC in my life. And I visited a few in England. No big differences. We're not speaking here about Eastern Orthodox or Lutheran churches, where the differences are far more visible.

Why do you want to step out? I didn't offend you . Yes, I suppose that you know English ecclesiastical architecture better than me, but I've been to many and various Catholic churches all my life, in various countries. I know what may serve as it. And they may not care about some differences during filming. It's all about camera work and some changes. They do not expect all of the viewers to be architecture buffs
