Green Bean, you have to remember that Gold offered Regina help with her Mary Margaret problem, so it's very possible kidnapping Kathryn was his doing or at the very least his idea. I'm not saying that he has anything personal against her or even that he physically hurt her. Whatever his agenda is, I don't think he would've hesitated kidnapping someone if it meant achieving his goal.

What if she was kidnapped by Regina at the idea of Rump and she put her in her asylum till he told her to release her from whatever place she stashed her and thus she appears outside the diner all confused and tramatized. If this was the case, maybe she got put in the same room with Belle for the temporary captivity.
