I think it's been broken or weakened because he's human now. That's why I don't think there will be an issue with no kissing. I don't think Gold and Rumple/Beast are the same. I think Gold is a stronger, more confident, wiser, cleverer version of his old, original Rumple self. I also think he's been tempered by time, pain, grief, and loss.

I also agree that Mr. Gold's time in Storybrooke coupled with his old Fairytale land self will probably benifit him.

He now has these two completely different personalities to help him go forward with his plan. Two personalities that have served him well. He's gained victories in Fairytale land and in Storybrooke.

Oh, I like that- he's kind of merged his personalities. I prefer Gold, admittedly, but then I find there's something very sweet about him underlying that exterior. He's so lonely inside that my heart breaks for him. Of course, my heart broke for Rumple in Skin Deep as well as he brought that tragedy on himself. By that I mean that because of his failings, he lost the one person who ever believed in him and he had to live with that for all these years. He was so clearly distraught by Belle's "death". Belle's presence, while it may complicate things for him, is something he wished for thousands of times over and over, and I think it will give him renewed hope. If Belle can return to him, then why not Bae? She'll be his inspiration, in a way.

OH and because I was going through old Rumbelle threads, here's this again.

I literally am adoring Robert more every day. There's something very gentle about his face - he's got these very fine features - and he's a very slight. He looks fantastic in that stubble, lol. That darn accent - it's amazing, lol.

I have a feeling Gold is going to take him for a ride this year. I know Rumple is the more showy role (and his son sounds like a doll, with all those noises he makes, lol), but Gold now, who has been rather buttoned up, is going to be all emotional this season. He's going to LOVE passionateley (his Belle, naturally) and he's going to HATE passionately (Regina) - the two biggies in drama. I think we're going to see something very special from him in season 2. I love how blown away he is by the response to Skin Deep..........

That scene never gets old.

When do you guys think Mr. Gold will be able to use the magic? Will it be immediate, or will it be a journey? As a Rumpel fangirl, I'd like it to be immediate, but for the sake of the story, I'd love to see everyone struggle to get control of the magic. So, a long journey is probably the best bet.
