Senior Field Agent Timothy "Tim" McGee has been part of the team almost since the very beginning. His first appearance was in Sub Rosa (1x07) where he helped the team at tracking down an international cyber threat present on one of the navy's submarines. At that point in time, he was only a recent MIT graduate lending his intelligence to NCIS. He was part of the office’s IT team, sitting in a small office. There are a few references of Tony visiting him in his cubicle, but it’s not till UnSEALed (1x18) that he officially joins Gibbs’ team within NCIS.

For years he is the Probie of the team, the one always making mistakes or pushed into completing uncomfortable tasks during the clue-collection phase of the investigation. He has a large variety of McNames for every situation. He was used to be called McGeek by Tony, Kate & Ziva during his early Probie days. It is not until colleagues dying, and tragedies happening around the team that he is finally taken seriously.

McGee is a born and raised navy brat, with a strict father - a navy admiral-, and a rebellious younger sister. He always had a hidden artistic side. When he was seventeen/eighteen he not only hacked into the White House (?) (Once Upon a Tim 16x14 ?), but wanted to become a professional dancer instead of enlisting to the navy.

Over the years we learn that one of his biggest hobbies is writing; writing crime novels on a type writer under a pseudo name. His novels feature everyone from the team; the protagonist is a Gibbs like character. He is the first who unconsciously sees the potential romantic ties between Tony and Ziva. His novels are best sellers; he even has crazy fans who would do anything to be with him.

While his alter ago is successful in love, for years he struggles with women. After his failed romance with Abby, where both of them realize that they are better off as friends, he is unable to find the connection with women. He is unable to see the signs that Susan (?), the polygraph technician, has feelings for him. She tries to get him to call her out on a date by continuously failing him on the polygraph test.

It’s not until Delilah that he learns what true love means. Experiencing hard and challenging times together made them into the team that they currently are. We have seen them dating, settling into Tony’s old apartment, getting married, welcoming their and welcoming their twins.

Sean Murray - who is best known for playing Agent McGee for the past 18 years - was born on November 15, 1977 in Bethesda, Maryland, USA as Sean Harland Murray. He is one day younger co-worker, and good friend Brian Dietzen, who plays Jimmy Palmer in NCIS. He is an actor, known for Hocus Pocus (1993), Harts of the West (1993) and NCIS (2003).

His first small roles were in 1991, when he was just 14 years old. However, it wasn't until Hocus Pocus in 1993, that he was recognized for his talents and nominated for the Best Youth Actor Leading Role in a Motion Picture Comedy at the Young Artist Award. Within the movie he played Thackery Binx, however, his voice was dubbed by Jason Marsden.

He had many small roles before being cast to play Zane Grey Hart in 5 episodes of the one-season long series called Harts of the West in 1994. During the series' short life Beau Bridges was his father and Harley Jane Kozak his mother. He even shared screen time with Mark Harmon, 20 years prior to becoming Agent McGee in NCIS. Before becoming McGee, he starred in many episode roles and TV movies. He also appeared in various - 7 - JAG episodes, playing two different characters.

Not much is known about his early childhood; he has an older brother Chad W. Murray, and spent part of his teenage years in California. Their mother, Vivienne has married the producer, Donald P. Bellisario in 1998, when Sean was already 21 years old. Through this marriage he gained several stepsiblings: Troian Bellisario - his NCIS onscreen sister as well -, Nicholas Bellisario, Michael Bellisario, Julie B. Watson, and David Bellisario.

He has been married to Carrie James since November 26, 2005. They have two children - a daughter, Caitlyn Melissa Murray (b. May 3, 2007) & a son, River James Murray (b. April 22, 2010).

As for the gifsets. I can try to search for something on Tumblr, but I highly doubt that I'd find anything we like...

He's a dual citizen. He has Australian relatives & he used to live there

That's a great gifset is Chelle unable to make gifsets anymore? thought she was the one that created them based off selected scenes

We tend to get lazy whenever we can, and opt for someone else's gifset, if we like it...

Bishop has a mismatch of gifsets in her OP & I think Sloane's OP has "premade" gifset too ...

And Vance also has a pre-made gifset

... But yes, for the rest of them it's usually Chelle who makes the gifs based on the selected scenes...

At first we were finding ones for the characters so the ones we did first have them. I think that McGee one you've found is like some of the ones we were able to find before. I don't know if it captures him nicely though...

I'm not the one who makes them, I've only done two of them - Torres & Gibbs. (I also can only lose my ability to make gifs temporarily if I don't have my computer. My photoshop is a paid version so I'll always have it)

Bishop's I think has lost some of them? We really should redo that. I think I'll need to make ones for her. I don't like the name gif I made for her either tbh...
