This is a screenplay of the book, catch 22?

Yup, it's a series based on the book. Which, I'm ashamed to admit that it's one of the classics, for whatever reason, I never had to read or never did read. I'm pretty sure I even actually have the book because it was one of my reading options for a literary class I took but just never read it.

Maybe I'll read it before the series starts. I think it premieres in May.

Dirty John comes to Netflix on Thursday too I believe.

Full disclosure: I've never liked that actor, even before FNL. He just seems like he'd be a stuck-up jerk in real life. Go figure.

I never finished Dirty John! I still have the last 3 episodes on my DVR!

Wow, it's been 8 years already since the show ended. In a way it seems much longer than that, but also much shorter. I guess because we still discuss it so much.

I never liked JD McCoy or the kid who played him, but I always thought that was just because he was a dick on the show, but apparently also (maybe) in real life. Which, makes sense, I think it's been said over and over again that all the characters on FNL are just kind of an exaggeration of those actors playing them.

It feels like an eternity, honestly. I remember when it finished airing, I was so bummed I didn't watch the finale for like six months. If I never watched it it wasn't technically over for me.

I've done that with other series, most recently with New Girl. I JUST finished the finale like two weeks ago.

If anybody has Starz, the FNL movie that spawned the TV series is airing this month. I've seen it a couple times in the listings. It's a great movie and worth watching, even though the students/players are all different and Connie is the only one from the series who's in it. Pete also directed it.

It really is. It's too bad the series has overshadowed it. They're both worthy.

I’ve seen the movie. I liked it when I saw it. Pete has always said there was so much to unpack from the book, that he needed a tv show to get into it all.
