I'm surprised to find many of these articles still online in their original form.

One of the great things about the Internet is all the stuff you can find from when shows like Fringe first started. They give an awesome perspective.

Fringe was great at incorporating crazy things that could actually happen

Now I want some M&Ms!

Most shows that have a foothold in science - including crime shows and medical shows - usually try to pull real science into their storylines. It only makes sense. Reality is compelling.

Every time I go down the candy aisle at the grocery store and I see the big tub of Red Vines, I have a Fringe moment.

Believe or not, I do too.

By the same token, many things give me Fringe moments.

One of my craziest Fringe moments was after I watched Forced Perspective - the episode that opens with a man who is impaled by a construction girder. The next morning I was walking to work and I passed by a construction site where they were just lifting a girder up with a crane.

I crossed over to the other side of the street.

That scene always reminded me of "The Omen".
