Hyde comes back all relaxed (and maybe a tad giggly), and Red has no idea why. Hyde might say he's just "one with nature, man. And I saw a squirrel fall out of a tree." Red would give him a disdainful look then move on.

I can see the three of them eating beans around the campfire then becoming toot-y. Red might be embarrassed and claim there's a bear nearby, so they better get inside their tents.

Over the years, I wonder what Hyde got Eric for his birthday -- if anything. Maybe he made stuff or did stuff since he didn't have the money to buy Eric anything.

I wonder if Hyde ever got caught shoplifting? The show didn't give us any indication he'd been arrested before "Moon Over Point Place".

My gut is, he never did get caught, I can see it something that would have been brought up.

I agree. Maybe Hyde's really good at stealing. He did enjoy being arrested for trenching Shinsky's yard, though, in S7.

Hyde had become too much of a "good boy" in his own eyes, so he needed to do something that returned him to "his roots". I'm sure he felt a measure of safety, though, because W.B. wasn't going to toss him on his ass for getting arrested for a misdemeanor.
