He probably didn't have to use it as much. I think once word got around that Fez was friends with Hyde then the bullies stopped picking on him. I don't think they want to mess with someone like Hyde. We know Hyde's very protective of his friends so he would've done something.

It's funny you mentioned about the stones because if you watch the flashback scene in "Class Picture" when they first find Fez hanging on the closet door and Kelso tries to toss his basketball at him, Fez covers his face with one hand and his "stones" with the other.

Something tells me he was hit there before and would have no problem figuring out for himself that hitting his attackers between the legs would allow him to make a getaway.

My head!canon is that Edna had dirt on the jocks' parents, and Hyde used that -- along with being generally intimidating -- to keep them at bay. Edna worked at the high school, and I'm sure she had certain ... encounters with fathers around town. Not talking just about sexually. There was gambling going on in the Hyde household, too.

Aw, poor Fez. I'm glad Hyde protected him from Kelso, too.

Yeah, I have a feeling Edna knew certain things about the parents of her son's classmates that would be very embarrassing if they were made public.

I could see a fanfic arising out of Hyde trying to teach Fez how to stand up for himself.

Blackmail. If Hyde was experienced blackmailing kids at school to protect the vulnerably, then maybe that's why he was impressed when Jackie blackmailed him.

You could add that to your own fic. It would fit.

One of my favorite smaller moments between Hyde and Fez is when they share candy. They're like little kids together. I think Fez brought out that side in Hyde and allowed him to experience a bit of a childhood he didn't actually get to have.
