So we saw Hyde teaching Fez how to cruise for ladies -- well, trying to teach him. What other kinds of lessons do you think Hyde tried to teach him?

Hyde might say the best Fez could hope for is "not totally lame". Actually, no. Hyde had more respect for Fez than that -- especially in the early seasons.

Hyde did have more respect for Fez, and would help him as best as he could.

I wonder if Fez ever asked Hyde for help in attracting Jackie. If he did, I doubt Hyde would give him that help. He wanted Kelso to break up with Jackie from week one, and he wouldn't want to do anything that would keep Jackie in the basement.

I can't see Hyde helping Fez out with that either, it's just weird on so many levels.

It really would be weird. I'm glad it didn't happen, and I'm glad Hyde told Fez he did the right thing by not taking advantage of a drunk Jackie ... though Hyde saying Fez should say he did nail Jackie the next time he tells the story is . But I guess that was his way of disguising his true heart since he'd just revealed a bit of it.

I didn't like when Hyde said that either, but I don't think he meant it.

I always wondered that too, I wonder if Hyde gave him realistic advice.

Maybe not. It was season 4, and Hyde hadn't been in a sustained romantic relationship yet (i.e. with Jackie), so Hyde's POV was different than it eventually became.

Speaking of Hyde in S4: as i mentioned a few times before, i'm doing my rewatch now. Couple of days ago i watched "Hyde gets the girl''. And is it just me, or his behaviour really was somehow weird during that episode?

His behavior was really weird and un Hyde like in that episode in my opinion.

I think Hyde was totally OOC during his interactions with Melissa:

A) He isn't socially inept or crude. He could be charming with girls and would offer them something to drink without prompting.

B) He's not the type to lose his crap over someone because of her looks. He's not Kelso. We already learned in "Kelso's Serenade" and "Eric Gets Suspended" (when he and Fez go on a double blind-date) that personality trumps physical attractiveness for Hyde.

This is exactly how i felt! I literally was confused at every action Hyde made and every word he spoke during his interactions with Melissa. It was like he wasn't himself at all. IMO, there was absolutely nothing special about this girl to catch Hyde's attention, and even if there was, he had to get to know her first, because, well, because it's Hyde.
And seriously, considering the fact this storyline went absolutely nowhere, i don't even understand what was its purpose I really wonder what was going on inside writers heads when they were writing script for that episode...

This. Scene with the drinks bothered me more than the rest of it.
