I agree with Mel, there was a lot of comedy in the earlier seasons

Once the love triangles started, it lost its edge and the humor that we had in the first 2 seasons - that is what I think

Well I also think the show started taking itself too seriously from S3 onwards. Not just because of the triangle. I preferred this style - using humor to convey serious messages.

I do have to agree, there was a more serious tone in the later seasons than the first two. Something changed.

I do think the serious stuff started when the triangle was established. After S3, it became less comical. Quite frankly, I got bored of love triangles. Thank goodness Steve was here to provide us some comic relief.
Anyway S1 had serious issues as well but it was fresh and fun __________________
