So on the way back from our field trip I ended up sitting in front of two of my girls who know all there is to know abut the entertainment world and whats going on. I was busy talking to my TA when I hear the word “Zanessa” at which point my ears perk up and I hear the following conversation: “They’re called Zanessa.” “Zanessa?” “Yeah…Zanessa. Like…ZA…NESSA. (she sounded it out) Cause Zac starts with ZA and Vanessa has NESSA in it so they put them together and….Zanessa!” “Ohhh! I like it!” “Yeah. Me too!” “I have blue eyes like Zac.” “And I have brown eyes like Vanessa. But she has black hair. That’s why Zac and I are good together. Cause we both have brown hair.” “No. Its not brown anymore. Its black.” “Its black?” “Yep!” “Oh. Well it used to be brown with highlights. Maybe he dyed it for a movie. Or maybe he was just wearing a wig. I don’t like black hair. But if it is black…guess what?!” “What?” “He and Vanessa match!!!” “Yeah!” “Oh and don’t get mad…but I sing the songs Gabriella sings on High School Musical.” “Its ok. I’m not mad.”  At which point I bust up laughing.  Good thing the bus was so noisy! I was seriously sitting there going…remember as much as you can cause the FF girls are gonna love this!__________________

Becca, that's adorable! None of my kids really have the mental capabilities to come up with something like that and the ones who do would never share that with me!
Though I do make them talk about HSM when we're at the point where I'm gauging their articulation in conversational speech __________________

My kids know that I love talking HSM with em. But this was the first time I heard any of them talk about Zac and V as a couple. It took everything in me to not turn around and join in their convo.__________________

That's hysterical. You might have scarred them for life if you had! When I was in the second grade I thought my teachers lived in the coat room at school and just...turned off...when school was over! Actually, I think one of the fifth grade teachers at my school does live in the coat room. She's not human, I swear - I hate going to her room to pick up my speech kids __________________
