Bachelor & Butterfly (Daniel♥Betty) #16: Because we want a middle, too!
Welcome to the 16th  Daniel Meade/Betty Suarez Appreciation Thread! ^^^Made by valiy5 Why do we call them "The Bachelor and the Butterfly"? Well, Daniel is someone who seems to be looking for a woman who understands him and loves him for who he is, but in the meantime, let's say that he is having a little too much of...err...women on his life. Hence, the bachelor title. And, then we have Betty, a sweet and nice (but with a temper) Queens girl that came to his life, one of the days dressed as a butterfy (it was her Halloween costume, LOL) and we thought that it truly represented what she is. Because it was a pleasure for her to be working for him. Because he thought she appeared to be good and capable. Because getting rid of her hadn't even crossed his mind. Because whatever he asked her to do, she did it. Because the look on his face when he watched her from his window spoke volumes about how he hated the way he was treating her. Because he hated that she was being humiliated at the photo shoot, and told Phillipe to stop it. Because he ran after her. Because he felt awful for everything he had put her through. Because he finally took the time to look at her layout. Because he went all the way to her house in Queens to talk to her. Because Walter could already see it starting between them. Because he was really sorry for the way he treated her. Because they both realised they were more alike than they originally thought. Because he thought her ideas were smart and beautiful. Because he can kick back and relax around her. Because she doesn't like it when he compares himself to his brother and puts himself down. Because she makes him feel more confident about himself. Because he disliked Wilhelmina insulting her. Because he risked the ladies room, to make sure she was okay. Because he really wanted her at the lunch with Vincent Bianchi. Because he reluctantly left her alone. Because when she saw that he'd left the proposal, she went to take it to him straight away. Because he felt awful for not insisting she come along to lunch. Because she's with him. Because he wouldn't let her leave without meeting Vincent. Because they apologised to each other over the whole lunch mess. Because she came through for him. Because he told her she really must have cajones. Because "Remember, you and me, we're a team." Because he didn't want her ever lying to him, since they're on the same team. Because she didn't mind being his fall girl. Because she inspired him to tell the truth. Because she taught him how not to give up. Because in the end, they owned up to their mistakes, with help from each other. Because she feels really lucky to be working for him. Because she sticks up for him - "Daniel's a lot smarter than people think he is." Because she felt terrible about lying to Daniel and wanted to tell him the truth about the layout spill. Because he'd rather hear a lie than hear the truth and risk losing her. Because he can already tell apart her "looks". Because she rejected $20,000 from Wilhelmina because accepting it would mean selling out Daniel. Because he gave her an important writing assignment because he wanted to give her a chance to use her intelligence. Because she's the first person he calls in an emergency (no matter how small). Because she dropped everything to make sure he was okay. Because she thinks he's an amazing person, smart, handsome and one of the top 10 most eligible bachelors in the city. Because she knows his quirks, e.g. lip biting, like he knows her looks. Because she went to pick up his heartbroken self from a bar, and took him back to her house to look after him. Because she gave her dad instructions to take care of Daniel while she was away. Because he ordered a Christmas tree for her family when he saw they couldn't afford one. Because he fits in easily with her family, as if he's always been a part of it. Because he really liked her glitter period. Because he thinks she's capable of handling big responsibilities - "you're the man!" Because she was happy working for Daniel, and said she would never leave him. Because he didn't want to stand in the way of her dreams. Because he glared at Marc and Amanda for their over-enthusiastic applause at her leaving. Because she didn't want to leave until she found someone as good as herself to take care of him. Because she wouldn't leave if she didn't know there was someone to protect him. Because he knew she's destined for bigger things. Because she helped him grow, as a person. Because she wanted to make coming home easier for him. Because she couldn't work for Sofia after what she did to Daniel. Because as soon as he found out she quit MYW, he wanted her to come back. Because she said she'd stand guard for him if he wanted to hide under his desk. Because she wanted to help him move forward, past Sofia. Because "he will always take Betty's word." Because she saved him from the embarrassment of being stood up. Because he took her out for pizza because she didn't like the restaurant food. Because they sang "I Got You Babe" together. Because when she said she'd go back to the bridge the next time she couldn't sleep, he told her to call him, and he'd come meet her, no matter what the time. Because he opened up about his brother to her. Because "you're better than any model, Betty. Much better." Because they spent a whole night just hanging out and enjoying each other's company. Because she made him face his fear. Because she is Daniel's only assistant. Because she only wants what's best for him. Please add me to the shipper list! I love Betty and Daniel!
Those two remind me of the saying that,"Love is friendship set on fire-- it takes root and grow.. one day at a time." Betty helps Daniel to be a better man and makes him realize what are the truly important thing in life are. Meanwhile, Daniel helps Betty make her dreams come true and also guides her toward facing the harsh realities of life.I have this gut feeling that this platonic love they have for one another will evolve into something more in the future--- which is both natural and sweet at the same time! |
