Thanks. There are times when I can hear one or two words, a tome of voice, or just think about something I have heard in passing and go with it from there. My brain doesn't work like other people's and that can be scary to some.

I'm not editing this for a reason...when I started this thread I had asked if I should share some poems that I had written when I was infatuated with the scam artist. KC inspired it and it is in her honor, but hearing that the song "I Dare You" is about loving again I thought this would be the perfect time to share it.


Kelly's Gift


When she gave me your number
She gave me a special gift
It was just a phone number
So what's the big deal
The deal is
This old woman had given up
On ever finding love again
She had accepted the fact

The D.J.

I remember a young girl
Who didn't have a world
Her world had been shattered
Completely torn apart
Then she found a d.j.
Who opened her heart
She had finally found honesty and love
She had finally learned to trust
But she held on too tightly
Needed too much
The d.j. had become her light

And still to this day
She carries the d.j. in her heart

No, these are ones that are old. The first 50, minus the KC inspired ones, are ones that were printed in a book back in '04 or '05. Some go back to my teenage years. I got to thinking and there is one that will go back to '87 I think it is.


I could do it every day, but I don't. I enjoy writing - both for myself and others.

I did have 5 thick notebooks full that dated back to the early '80's and lost them in a fire. I placed 3rd in the state of FL in '86(?) for one I wrote for 4-H.
