Louisa May Alcott - Little Women & Good Wives
Jules Verne - Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea
Wilkie Collins - The Moonstone (haven't read it before... has anyone of you??)
Charles Dickens - Hard Times
J.M. Barrie - Peter Pan
J.D. Salinger - The Catcher In The Rye

I've read all books before (except for "The Moonstone").
What about you?
I've read both those Alcott books, plus Little Men, Jo's Boys, and Jack & Jill. Haven't read The Moonstone, but the other Wilkie Collins, The Woman in White. That was good. Freaky. From Dickens...Great Expectations, David Copperfield, etc...not Hard Times, though. I reject any version of Peter Pan that isn't the Disney cartoon on account of I've been a hard-ass-core Peter/Wendy shipper since the age of, like, two. Catcher, I am in love with. Holden Caulfield is my absolute favorite fictional character of all time. If I knew that boy, I would be head over heels in love with him. He's my darling as is. I have an all-consuming urge to take care of him.

Oh...must read: The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery...I believe is the name. Brilliant piece of philosophical genius. Innocent and wise at the same time...*gushes; overflows*

Yeah, it certainly is a great book to read! We read it in my French A-level class a few years back and I enjoyed it very much eventough I had to look up words in my dictionary every 10 minutes
I think I'll buy the English version of it soon!

I've read it back in elementary school too. I wasn't too impressed though. It's a nice book but not something I'd read again.

Wow, really?! I would have thought it'd be too hard to understand for an elementary schooler. My mom tried to read it to me when I was little...so many failed attempts. But I went after it myself when I was 14 and with the amazingness.

That's one book that...it looks like a children's book but...it's SO not. Dreamer, you oughta try it again now you're older.

I own a copy of "The Little Prince". I've read it both in English and French, and I love it. The story is so pure and innocent, and it's a pretty short read.

"Catcher in the Rye" is another of my favorites. We had to read it for school, but I've read it again ever since. Loved the characters of Phoebe and Holden.

I'll be reading "Emma" too over the holidays.

I've never read "The Little Prince". I'll have to get myself a copy. I'm wanting to read it now after reading all you have to say about it.

Phoebe rulz.

after reading Catcher, I went for some of the other Salinger's books. I loved Franny & Zooey, though I can't say I always understood what they were ranting about. I also read Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters. I liked that one, too. Franny and Zooey appear in that book also.
