Just a few weeks ago I found out Naveen has been shooting a new series for Sky One, "Sinbad", which should premiere next year (no idea when exactly).
At first I thought it would be a mini-series, but then I read about a 13 episodes order. I don't know a lot about UK television.

It's based on the stories of Sinbad the Sailor, a saga about a character sailing the oceans and having all kinds of adventures, including supernatural/magical encounters. I think the show is dubbed as "fantasy drama".

He is also involved in a sci-fi movie called "Rise of an Exile", which is still in pre-production according to IMDb. Last news I read was that they replaced the director and were still trying to find money to support the project, so no idea when - and if - it will actually be filmed/released.

Sci-fi with a low budget is rarely a good idea. The chances to end up with a silly-looking result are very high.

At least we know he is looking around for projects - he mentioned wanting to take a break in an interview, some time ago, but if he has been working this summer (filming Sinbad in Malta) it means he's back "on the market".

I don't know exactly how big or small the Sinbad project is, but it would be great if he did some promotion for it, even he is in UK when it premieres.

I remember my shock when he shot little Ben. I know there are no saints on Lost and tons of character have blood on their hands (Ben is a mass murderer, even) but harming a child is a sort of taboo in fiction, unless you want to make a character be seen as unredeemable.
