No problem. Ok. No problem. I know, but this isn't the same Iris you are not a big fan of. Oh, no comment on Bendis doing Justice League comics? I hope everyone is ok. Quote:

I've never been a fan of Iris in any incarnation. In the original Flash TV show from 1990 I was glad when Iris left after the pilot and they focused on Barry and STAR Labs scientist Tina McGee.
What do you want me to say, dragonfire? That I want guys like Brian Michael Bendis and Dan Slott banned from ever working in comic books again? Yes, but that's not gonna happen. Batgirl and Zatanna, huh? Is it Barbara or the other Batgirl? I wish she'd been in Birds of Prey. Since when is Barry's mom Spanish? There's diversity and then there's pandering. __________________

Ok, fair enough. Yep. I don't know, and if Keaton is really in it, then there's no telling who it will be. Considering how that movie turned out, maybe it was a blessing in disguise that she wasn't. Ok? I hope everyone is ok. Oh, Cameron could be reclaiming King Of The World All-Time Box Title from Feige thanks to an Avatar rerelease? Quote:

Avatar is a load of crap. Never seen a Cameron film with any depth.

Thanks for the info, dragonfire. I still hope it'll be Barbara Gordon.
Yeah, I heard about that. Avatar is not one of my favorite James Cameron films. He's been riding on that movie for over a decade now, and it's the only movie he's made in the last quarter century since Titanic. I loved his early stuff, like The Terminator, Aliens, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, True Lies, and Titanic. The only films he's made that I didn't care for were The Abyss and Avatar, and both coincidentally have a similar theme. But I honestly do not understand what happened to that guy. All of a sudden he started preferring to play with his toy submarines rather than make movies. __________________

Avatar is imaginative and pretty, but that doesn't mean a good movie. I found the story too commonplace and told in a roundabout way.

Agreed. One reason why I think I liked Aliens was how much of an influence Robert Heinlein's Starship Troopers was on Cameron's writing in that movie. But Avatar was more influenced by Edgar Rice Burroughs' Princess of Mars and Frank Herbert's novels like Dune and The Jesus Incident. Didn't Jake Sully have to ride Shai-Hulud to convince the Na'vi that he could lead them? Only it wasn't a sandworm, it was that dragon creature, Toruk. That scene stuck with me as being inspired by Dune. Also, the planet "Pandora" comes from The Jesus Incident. Avatar just seemed too derivative.

Titanic and Avatar are two of the worst films ever made. Once a guy makes two films like that, he should quit making films.

I see. Well, after Avatar 2 he has plans for more sequels, and no doubt Disney loves it since with buying Fox they got the Avatar movie rights. Didn't he produced the movie Alita: Battle Angel? Also wasn't he involved in Terminator: Dark Fate of course the less said about that movie the better. The Terminator, and Terminator 2 is still the best movies out of the franchise. Of course, maybe one day there will be a worthy sequel movie to them. Oh, did you see that theaters are planning to reopen? I hope all goes well with it. I hope everyone is ok. |

Theatres are reopening? So they'll be performing plays?

Thanks, dragonfire. Well, Cameron produced those films you mentioned, but he didn't direct them. He got really lazy after Titanic. Ugh, Disney owning Avatar makes it even worse. And Cameron's taken way too much time to make a sequel, and by the time it does come out will anyone still care? I agree with you about the first two Terminator movies. Sadly, I don't think there will be a worthy sequel. __________________

No problem. I see. Ok? Thanks. Yeah, but while it wasn't a movie I think the show called Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was close to it. For one, one of the things it did that was unique, and new was having a love story between John Connor, and female Terminator Cameron. I hope everyone is ok. Quote:
