I'm just curious but are there any good lesbian books that anyone would recommend if you're still new to this?

I found this one:

'Ask a Queer Chick: A guide to sex, love and life for girls who dig girls' by Lindsay King-Miller

but I was wondering if there were any others.

I haven't any idea, personally, but Google turned up 11 Book Every Queer Woman Should Read and 15 Books Every Young Gay Woman Should Read.

Some books are on both lists and I note they seem to be either novels (which I know isn't your bag) or celebrity memoirs, so

Then I would suggest plonking "lesbian sex ed" in the Amazon search tool. There seems to be all kinds of books written on the subject, but I have no clue if any of them are still in print.

I know. Who ever thought Ireland would have a gay PM before pretty much any of the other modern democracies who don't mix religion and politics nearly as much?

Poland had a transgender MP and an openly gay MP who is now the president of one of our cities and we are still so behind when it comes to lgbt rights.

Well, when you start on that, I'm sure there are gay and openly transgender MPs outside of Canada, too. (We have those as well.)

I just meant it was refreshing to have someone get the top job and kind of ironic that it happened in a country we're used to criticizing for letting religion play too large a part in their politics. I suppose Poland would qualify for that, too. So good job.

I guess that, on the whole, the more we have real representation in politics, the better we'll all be.

And now I'm wondering how Ireland's new PM will handle the PMs or Presidents (or Kings or Queens, or you know what I mean) of countries where being gay is illegal, like say Saudi Arabia...

I'd say as the bigger person. Professional respect, and watch them get more annoyed because their antiquated views aren't affecting his ability to do this job.

But I get what you mean.

Well, when you put that way, it seems pretty obvious that it's the only way for him to go. I guess I should be more worried about the leaders of those antiquated countries and their reactions to him...

I don't know what boggles the mind more: the fact that business interest dictates he has to deal with them or...

Actually, what probably boggles my mind more is that there are countries where being gay is illegal in this day and age.

So in England the tory party are probably going to get into bed with the democratic union party. An extremely anti lgbt "political" party. I'm actually really nervous about it.
